I just had to throw away a bra because, after developing a hole in the strap, it chafed me badly.

I've gotten satisfactory bras from Just My Size. I don't know how they do it, but while I need to try a bunch of bras to find something I like from a store, I can just mail order something in my size with no underwires from Just My Size (http://justmysize.com/), and I've been happy with all of them.

Thanks for the pointer. They had only one bra in my size, but that one looks good, so I've ordered it.

Go down to Orchard Corset Center (157 Orchard St.). They will happily fit you and kit you out and you and your breasts and the rest of you will be very happy and you won't have to actually do the sorting or schlepping. They're great people and very kind and helpful. Seriously -- look no further. These folks know what they're doing.

Don't know your personal preferences, but . .

I've been buying underwire all-cotton bras from Lane Bryant for a few years now. They don't necessarily last forever, but they come in a range of sizes for real women.

. . women who wear 34B are just as real as I am.

Sorry if I seemed to be implying otherwise. I'm still tired of shopping at places that carry sizes only up to 40 (for example, Victoria's Secret used to be especially bad). The market (for consumers) continues to improve, but I'd that we could we all shop in the same place *now*, thanks.
