After I ate my sandwich today, I walked a bit. A quick stop in the parking lot showed me that at least one other person has found the blackberry bush, and had gotten there before me today. I'm more relieved than disappointed--it would be a sad thing, in a company that size, if nobody else had seen the fruit.
From there, I walked over to the supermarket, where I got fruit and veggies, and two kinds of cookies because I couldn't decide. At the cash register, I complimented the cashier on her butterfly jewelry. She said she likes butterflies, and showed me her butterfly tattoo, so I showed her my cardinal. We chatted a bit about tattoos, and I got her okay to come around behind the counter and roll up my jeans to show her my violets-and-bee.
From there, I walked over to the bank to cash a check (for freelance copyediting), then stopped at Carvel for an ice cream cone on my way back: chocolate chocolate chip again, but it wasn't as good as last time for some reason. A gorgeous day, though, fine for walking with ice cream or without, and even with a bag of groceries to carry.
I went to the gym after work, and had a good time.
Cardio, 8-minute warmup, top heart rate 147
Xpressline again: I took the leg press up to 350 and still did 12 reps, but they were difficult. On the next machine, leg extension (65 pounds), the trainer urged me to flex rather than point my toes, to work my quads more. I did, and it did--and when I checked the card I saw that I'd gone from 9 reps last Wednesday to 12 this time.
Leg curl, 95 pounds, 12 reps.
I still don't have the rest of the weight numbers, but I got up to 12 reps on everything except the biceps, and 11 on that. All weights except the leg press were the same as last time.
After Xpressline, I did crunches (4 sets of 20), back arches (3 sets of 17), and the yoga tree (4 x 2 x 2).
