I got to the subway this morning and discovered I'd left my unlimited-ride Metrocard home. That cost me an extra $5 for three trips today--to the railroad in the morning, and Penn Station to gym, then gym to home, in the evening. And I got to work and found that the refrigerators we keep our food in were broken, so I threw my sandwich away rather than risk food poisoning by lunchtime, and bought a pastrami sandwich and a large iced tea at a nearby deli at lunchtime.

It was another minimal workout, but I'm pleased with it nonetheless:

Cardio, 17 minutes, top heart rate 145 (more than a warmup, not my 33 minutes that I do when I really have time.)

Expressline:

Seated leg press, 310 pounds, 12.
Leg extension, 60 pounds, 12.
Leg curl, 90 pounds, 12.
Lat pulldown, 80 pounds, 12.
Overhead press, 30 pounds, 12.
Vertical chest, 45 pounds, 12.
Biceps, 35 pounds, 12.
Triceps, 40 pounds, 12.

Why throw your sandwich away? I mean didn't you, like everyone else, carry a brown paper sack to school with a sandwich that was never refrigerated? Heck the few times I take a sandwich to work now I don't bother putting it in the 'fridge.

Me neither. Including sandwiches with mayonnaise, but always storebought Hellman's, not homemade mayo.

When I worked outdoors, I had a thermos of milk, and didn't put mayo in the sandwiches, and tried to leave my bag in the shade.

I did once get sick after eating something I'd left in the car in Ohio for a few hours (I won't mention what, because I'm still embarrassed about not being more careful.)
