I just spent a pleasant, low-key afternoon with
roadnotes and (after a while)
cattitude: we caught each other up on our lives, which in my case was mostly a matter of introducing her to Julian; agreed that we like quiet and stability; walked in the park; and drank tea and ate apple cakelings. Julian was glad to meet her, friendly and well-mannered: she didn't pick him up, to avoid carrying too many allergens home to
baldanders.
After Roadnotes left, Cattitude and I played Scrabble. Julian started in my lap; after a while, he climbed onto the table, walked across the board without disturbing any of the letters, and settled in Cattitude's lap for a while. This relationship is settling in very quickly and well.

Congratulations!
(and ignore the advice from the holistic people - my current feline regards anything other than dry kibble with disdain.)
