I basically lazed around all morning, then had a brief conversation with a recruiter who wasn't sure where he'd gotten my information, but had my resume in front of him. I don't fit the job he was looking to fill, but he said he might call back about other things.
Then I threw on some clothes because someone buzzed claiming to be a UPS delivery, but he never rang my doorbell. Eventually I headed out, for a nice walk in the park--where there are now violets, and the apple is starting to bloom--grabbed a BLT at the local diner, and went down to 181st Street for rye bread. Then a few blocks on the bus, to the heather garden in Fort Tryon Park; about the time I got there, my feet started to hurt, not in an "I have walked too much" way but with the soles tender. I suspect my sandals were too loose: I eventually tightened a couple of straps, which helped a little, but not enough.
Nonetheless, it is definitely Spring, flowering trees and singing birds and a warm sunny afternoon.
