sensible, not staid

After I told mishalak that he's sensible, he wrote "I hope sensible and fun. No one wants to be just plain sensible.<grin>"

And I wrote: "I think we both manage that combination. It means I'll skip across the street--but I wear shoes I can skip in. Making sure to leave room for dessert, rather than overstuffing myself. That sort of thing."

The only way to be fun is on an underlayment of sensible--otherwise at some point the fun fails, while you deal with the consequences.

Also, I only feel free to have fun if I've taken care of the sensible stuff.
