I may have overdone things

I headed out mid-afternoon to buy cattitude a birthday present, then go to eleanor's "help give out Halloween candy" party. Somehow, between wanting to deposit checks, and annoying subway problems, I seem to have climbed a lot of stairs. By 8:30, Cattitude observed that it was time to take me home, because I was coughing too much.

However, I got to see Eleanor and volund (and meet his sweetie), eat good chili, and take a nice look at the model fossils at the 81st Street IND station. Almost all are labeled; I needed most of the labels, but I'd know Archaeopteryx lithographica anywhere, and am always glad to see it. I also ran into Elissa WINOLJ on the street--or, rather, she spotted me--and we chatted briefly, which was pleasant.

The plan for tomorrow is to take it easy.

I got to meet Archaeopteryx lithographica at the Otago Museum a couple of weeks back. And yes, I know what you mean about knowing it anywhere. I was very glad to see it.
