I have a job interview Tuesday, for a helpdesk position. I am pleased and surprised--this is with the city government, whose hiring wheels tend to grind exceedingly slow, so I wasn't expecting to hear anything so soon.
Before that, I'm on a con panel Sunday afternoon; I can't really complain about the lack of notice, given how late I told them I'd be available for programming, but it would have been nice to get the information in a form that didn't require me to run a search for my last name on a Word file.
Also, after the gym I was an intrepid and successful gatherer: a dozen tangerines, the first of the season (and possibly picked too soon, but at 12 for a dollar it was worth the risk), a purple silk jacket, and a loaf of rye bread.
For the record, the usual gym numbers:
Cardio, 23 minutes, top heart rate 154
Assisted chin-up, 10, 5
Calf machine, 40 pounds, 2 sets of 15; 35 pounds, 15
Bench press, 50 pounds, 12, 12, 9
Seated leg curl, 80 pounds, 15, 13; 70 pounds, 15
Adjustable row, 100 pounds, 3 sets of 15
Crunches, 2 sets of 20 (crunches don't go well with menstrual cramps)
Back arches, 3 sets of 16
Tricep pulldown, 40 pounds, 2 sets of 15; 30 pounds, 15
Seated leg press (the one where your whole body moves): 180 pounds, 5--stopped because of pain in left knee
Bicep curl, 35-pound bar, 3 sets of 15
Lateral raise, 5 pounds each hand, 3 sets of 15

Ah... city government... I have a secret dream of helping out at the medical examiner's, from waaaay back when I wanted to be a criminologist. Now I just want a criminologist--mmm, that guy Warwick on CSI--and he's not even real. Helas! ;)
