But neither is it getting better.

I did another hard reset on the Palm. It seemed to be behaving: digitization, fixed date, turned system sound off, that stuff. So I restored my data from the desktop, and once again lost I/O from about half of the screen, including the part at the bottom that has control buttons.

Any Palm experts out there? It's a Vx, purchased in late 1999.

DigiFix will help with the digitisation, but losing IO from half the screen sounds like a hardware problem.
