Fortunately, in the race I cared most about, Sen. Markey trounced Seth Moulton--the AP called the race three minutes after the polls closed.

The Suffolk County DA won his primary; I voted for him, as a way of voting against the challenger who said she was running at the request of the police unions.

The state senate primary in my district is still too close to call, with a 20-vote difference (from a total of more than 24,000 votes cast). I voted for the challenger, but didn't have a strong preference for him over the incumbent.

Update: with all votes counted, Lander (the challenger) has won by three votes. Brownsberger has, unsurprisingly, asked for a recount.

Definitely want to keep the DA that isn't a police union favorite.

Markey is proof that being 80 doesn't necessarily disqualify one from public life. He's good people. And I'm glad the non-union-backed DA won, and that's coming from someone whose brother is a retired RCMP officer.
