We are essentially done at Mom’s flat. I didn’t have a lot to do today, but am still tired. We will decide tomorrow what if anything we want to do.
Leaving for Boston Monday afternoon.
We had Chinese food delivered tonight, and it was basic good Cantonese food. They included a small bag of those weird shrimp chips, which I turned out to be in the mood for.

My brother sent photos of all the jewelry to our cousins, asking what they wanted. All three of them answered with things like "I love this ring, but if someone else also wants it, my second and third choices from this photo are X and Y" and "also, any plain chains nobody else wants."
It sounds as though a lot of the jewelry will be going to people who will wear it and/or look at it and remember that it was my mother's.
Meanwhile, Mark and I are both dealing with various formwork related to my mother's bank accounts etc. "Etc." includes the life insurance policy she bought at the suggestion of someone at her bank, instead of rolling over a CD when the interest rates were almost zero. But that part of the work is less emotional, and it looks as though the only relevant deadlines are that there are things we should do in 2025 for reasons to do with taxes.
