I've been happily wearing the same style/model of slippers for several years. When I went to order more this fall, I discovered that Clark's is no longer selling them.

I recently went back to their website, found two styles that seemed like they might work, and ordered one of each. Neither fit, unfortunately, both being too narrow. So, those will be shipped back, and I may try looking elsewhere.

Ideally I'd have gone to a shoestore in November or early December, but being sick got in the way, so here we are.

If anyone has ideas, I take a women's 8 wide or extra wide. A size 8 of that one style of Clark's men's slippers fit me; in general a women's 8 is a men's 7 or 6.5, and few shoes seem to come in that size.

Are you looking for a particular style or just something that fits comfortably?

If you don't mind getting an arch support add-on insole, you can hit the mens or boys section and probably find something that absolutely has a roomy toe box. :)

I've also got wide feet, so that's where I've been getting mine (shoes and slippers) for years for my daily-wears.

*Edit*
You could also try various online websites, for boys/mens versions, since they're wider than ladies by default.

I discovered a few years ago that the bigger children's sizes are equivalent to those men's sizes (or a women's size 8). For example a kids size 6 in Keen sandals has exactly the same dimensions as a women's 8 Keen sandal (big difference is the kid sandals are a closed heel and adult is open). And they are something like half the price. The Keen kid size 7 is too big for me even! I don't know how width compares in other brands. I wear an 8 wide (women's) in sneakers, but Keens are wide enough for me without going to the men's section.

Maybe that will help you find some slippers to try?

(And hi, I cannot tell if we might know each other in passing IRL. I was doing the thing where I look at a friend's reading page and wound up commenting. Seemed like useful info to pass on - has saved me a lot of money!)

Yeah, you look like someone I've been around in passing at least. :) Anyway, good luck with the slippers!

I have an idea if you're okay with a minimal, soft leather sole. https://www.softstarshoes.com/adult-shoes/moccasins-slippers.html I've been wearing the Adult Roo style as slippers for a couple of years and they're great. I do wear them with socks, when it's cold. I have super wide feet and these are more than accommodating!

It can be so hard to find half sizes and I'm a 7.5!

I have feet that are wider than normal thanks to my own medical conditions, I'd recommend taking a look at the slippers that the sketcher's brand makes. They make both men and women's slippers.

I use sketchers for both inside and outdoor shoes these days and find them quite comfortable.
