I have massively de-cluttered my desk, in order to dust most of the shelves. The remaining dusting is around my computer tower, and a high shelf I can't see or reach, but that will just be dusting: what's (supposed to be) on that high shelf is a moon globe, something that I think might be a bookend, and sometimes a cat.

I will not be dusting the cat. We joke that I am Her Majesty's royal hairdresser, but that's combing. I am not going to attempt to dust a cat, especially not a fluffy one.

I plan to get someone taller than me--either Adrian or Cattitude--to dust the top of the desk.

[This is all preparatory to starting use the new Mac laptop instead of this machine; the plan is to use the same monitor, and put the Mac behind it, which is where the desktop tower is now.]

Luckily, cats are usually self-dusting! If she's up there often enough you don't have to dust that shelf, she's taken care of that, but you may have to sweep away a little cat hair :-P
