I just learned that they are closing my current dental office (which is in Watertown Square) in about a month. They're suggesting patients either go to Westborough, which is out past 495, or a Gentle Dental in Belmont, but my current dentist will be working entirely in Westborough. I can get to the Belmont office about as easily as to the Watertown one, but it looks like I'm changing dentists anyway, and am looking for suggestions.

I'm in Brighton, near the ends of the B and C branches of the green line, and being reachable by transit is more important than distance in miles as the crow flies.

I want somewhere that still takes some level of covid precautions (masking, air filtering, and/or good ventilation), and that won't have a problem with me only masking in the dental chair.

My dentist is in Somerville (https://www.smilesbyrosie.com) and still being careful with precautions - air filtering, often the window open, they're masked the whole time, masks expected in the waiting room, I'm only unmasked once I'm seated and they're about to do stuff with my mouth.

They are open to new patients, but as that says, triaging who gets priority.

I've had multiple hygienists there, they've all been good to great, and they're really good about listening to what helps the appointment go better.

Wishing you luck with this, I've had a string of problem dentists in recent years and am having trouble with finding a new one that is within my travel range that is actually competent and full procedure and isn't just trying to bring in 'easy' clients to funnel complex cases to a surgeon much further away than I can go.

i highly recommend restorative dental group at 181 Concord Ave in Cambridge.
the person who first recommended them to me did so with this story - she had to get emergency dental care somewhere and the dentist called in everyone in the office to admire the work she had done in cambridge.
