I felt surprisingly OK yesterday. This morning I was coughing quite a bit, despite not having taken the Mucinex or used the flutter valve since Tuesday night, but that stopped in time for me to walk over to Whole Foods and buy a few things. I then ran out of focus before lunch, which Adrian pointed out is normal for the day after having teeth pulled.

I waited until after lunch to have hot tea (a full 24 hours after the dental work), and have been eating soft things: yogurt, lots of yogurt, as well as a sweet potato frittata, buckwheat pancakes, and homemade apple sauce. I carefully brushed my teeth this morning, and rinsed with warm salt water for the first time (the same-day instructions were to not rinse my mouth at all).

I have a bit of pain near where the extraction site, despite having taken a naproxen before walking to the store this morning. I tried applying ice yesterday as instructed, but stopped because it felt like I was on the verge of an ice cream headache. Negative good news: no bleeding.

I am doing a bit of my usual PT, carefully.

Cautiously hopeful that the healing continues without problems and with only manageable pain.
