I spent a pleasant couple of hours with
aethereal_girl and
dhole (both back in the States for a visit) and
roadnotes at Revival, a bar on E. 15th where we hold what I laughingly call rec.arts.sf.* socials, when it looks like anyone else might be interested. We talked about writing, underwater archeology, and less exciting things like job-hunting. Roadnotes brought chocolate and interesting potato chips, which went nicely with my cider.
After leaving the bar, we walked over to First Avenue to see a billboard of
rm, then got on the L train.
Roadnotes is harder to surprise than I am.

It's a very good thing, I think.
