I've a childhood book in which a young Fibonacci is the supporting character, and ever since I've had a fondness for him. Even though I don't get what his numbers are about.
But then, I asked a teaching colleague from the mathematics section, and my simple question of 'what are those numbers for, what can one do with them' wasn't fully answered either.
