We had tapas this evening to celebrate
cattitude's (slightly belated) birthday, because there's a place in walking distance with a nice-looking patio. The server asked about allergies, and then was helpful identifying everything on the menu that had dairy in any form. He did ask whether
adrian_turtle's need to avoid dairy, or Cattitude's need to avoid mushrooms, was the sort of allergy that could lead to anaphylactic shock, which they are not.
We ate a variety of tasty things: some shared three ways, a few that Cattitude and Adrian ate and I didn't, and lots of mushrooms, which Adrian and I shared. When I was still hungry at the end of the meal, I ordered another plate of the sauteed mushrooms, and ate them all by myself.
We came home in the twilight, I had tea, and a couple of hours later we ate the last of the birthday cake Adrian made Cattitude, which he was very happy with.

Mmmm, sharing tidbits on a patio is a lovely way to have a meal!
