adrian_turtle is away for the weekend, for a family bar mitzvah.

She told us last night that there had been very little at the celebratory dinner that she could eat, just fruit and bread. cattitude asked Adrian what she wants for dinner Monday, and he will be going shopping for vegetables and sausage tomorrow.

This afternoon, I baked a chocolate cake, which will here when she gets home. (I may be over in Cambridge doing more medical stuffChocolate cake doesn't cure everything, but I think it will help.

Chocolate cake cannot possibly make things worse and is extremely likely to make them better.

I sympathize with Adrian very much. Fruit and bread is not enough to go on with, and it has sometimes been all that I could eat as well.

In this case, I had the foresight to put clif bars in my suitcase. So I was mostly ok. The frustrating thing was that I took my mask off for the family event. Thinking that of course there would be food without dairy. The bar mitzvah boy and his brother are both on gluten-free, dairy-free diets for autism.
