I went to Copley Square this afternoon to pick up a library book (from the main branch of the Boston Public Library) and shop at the farmers market. For the moment, I am comfortable going to the library to pick up books. I'm still borrowing more ebooks than paper books, largely because it's more convenient (even the ones I'm not borrowing from libraries in Washington).
The market was noticeably smaller than a few weeks ago, but it's still large and varied enough that the limiting factor was what I could carry comfortably and thought I would use while it was fresh. I came home with beets, macoun apples, a bell pepper, raspberries, cherry tomatoes, a lettuce, and a container of tzatziki. The cherry tomatoes were probably a mistake; I have now eaten a few, and they are sourer and less flavorful than I would like. Things I didn't get included cauliflower and acorn squash.
