The book I posted about a couple of days ago is The Court of the Midnight King by Freda Warrington.
It's good, although having finished it I feel that the title is evocative, but not of anything in the novel. (I can think of things that might be stretched to justify it, but without spoilers, I'll just note that much of the important action takes place in no king's court, and that no character is ever referred to in the text as the "midnight king".)
