I just heard from my doctor, via MyChart. She said she reached out to Tufts asking what the next step should be, and they told her that they might contact me directly, so I may be hearing from Tufts infectious disease, immunology, or rheumatology. (I think the rheumatology connection is that MS is an auto-immune thing as well as a neurological thing, and the MS drug that seems to be the problem here is an immune-suppressant.)

This is good to know, even though I generally answer unknown-number calls from the local area codes, because so many of them turn out to be from medical offices I want to talk to.

The potential contact with Tufts sounds promising, though how tedious to actually have to answer phone calls with unknown numbers. We have a Ooma VOIP system for our "land" number, and finally decided to got to a white list system about six weeks ago. So much quieter, and less enraging because we were obviously a prime demographic target for predatory calls to scam seniors.

It's less annoying than it sounds, because a lot of the scam calls spoof numbers to match my cell phone area code, and I've had this number since I lived in New York. So I never answer unknown numbers from that area code, and usually let calls from other non-Boston-area numbers go to voicemail. We no longer have a landline, which probably helps.
