I have tidied the top of my desk, which I'm noting here because that's exactly the sort of thing that's easy to forget, or not think of a few hours or days later when I'm thinking "did I do anything useful or interesting today?"

I also got outside for a walk this afternoon, going as far as a Little Free Library, where I left a couple of paperbacks I didn't want. I went out masked, despite it being a rainy afternoon in a quiet neighborhood, because I'm not at all confident of my immunity to covid. Some other day, I might have carried the mask and not put it on unless there were other people nearby. While I was outside, I did my one PT exercise that needs a stair, and that I therefore hadn't done in a couple of weeks.

ETA: This afternoon's tidying left me with a pile of papers that needed shredding. I sat down after dinner and did so, including a stop in the middle to empty the shredder.

We've got a bunch (a large bunch) of papers to sort, then either file or shred. Do you find buying a shredder worth the cost?

My local UPS store used to charge $1/pound for shredding. It may have gone up a bit, but as it's not good for my shoulder to carry more than 5 pounds up the hill at a time, the cost is not significant.

It just this minute occurred to me that if a person has a dusty job to do of tidying old papers, there is now a box of masks in the house that might be helpful.
