I went to the dentist today, to get my teeth cleaned. I had a noon appointment because that's what was available when I called to reschedule two weeks ago, which meant a slightly late lunch. But when I looked for lunch options near Watertown Square, I found a sushi place. When I got there, I saw that they have an actual patio, with seating for outdoor dining, so I sat there and had chirashi. It was decent, though not spectacular, but I wanted sushi anyway, and the hygienist applied a fluoride varnish, meaning I wasn't supposed to eat or drink anything hot for at least half an hour, and sushi fit the bill nicely.

I could use a cleaning. Would you recommend your dentist? (I may or may not have insurance -- it's complicated)

I would recommend my hygienist, but different hygienists are at that office on different days (it's part of a chain of dental offices). Abby is there Wednesdays and Saturdays; I picked my first appointment by the time, and since then have gone back to keep seeing her.

I can't comment on the dentist, because I have never spoken to him. The hygienist took X-rays at my first appointment -- as she should have, I hadn't been to the dentist since moving to Massachusetts -- and the dentist looked at them, and found no cavities, so I haven't needed to see him.
