I have found a new neurologist, made an appointment for next month, and called Dr. Katz's office to ask for my records, and cancel the upcoming appointments (one longer-than-usual exam, an MRI, and then a visit to be shown how to try the drug we were talking about switching me to.
adrian_turtle found me this referral, by asking her neurologist. Since the last time I looked into this, Mt. Auburn has hired an MS specialist who sees patients in the medical office building on Mt. Auburn Street, and he is taking new patients.
I've been unhappy with the schlep out to the current neurologist's office for a while, and the pandemic wasn't helping, because unlike my other doctors he wanted everything to be in person. a month ago, I was thinking that the multiple trips to Wellesley would be annoying but tolerable (the study he was hoping to enroll me in would have paid for the Lyft trips to and from his office).
Now, the delta variant has me feeling more cautious. I'm not cancelling things yet, but if I start thinking in terms of a Covid risk budget again, medically unnecessary doctor's visits aren't in my budget.

1100+ new cases of Delta Covid daily is WAY too many. The death toll may only be in the single digits daily but as far as I am concerned thats too many.
My wife and her union are arguing with her company over their reopening plans, they want to reopen the offices in all cities on Oct 1st (Voluntarily) and force all employees back in by years end no matter the condition of the situation.
They have offices in more than one state.... and this is the tricky bit, since some of the executives are expected to travel between the offices as well for various meetings, especially into the Boston Office (where meetings with the Board of Directors Happen). And this raises risk for everyone in the Boston office if they reopen.
