The doctor gave me a cough suppressant + expectorant yesterday, It has helped enough that I got a few hours of real sleep last night, and today I didn't have trouble breathing after coughing, but I am in no sense feeling well.
Like yesterday and the day before, Iwas feeling better earlier in the evening.
The doctor said I should call back tomorrow or Thursda if I'm not feeling better. I will likely call then mid-=afternoon, describe the situation, and ask what if anything I should do, and how soon.
The list of foods that don't hurt to swallow is still:
1. vanilla Italian ices
The acidity of yogurt continues to hurt my throat a little. I mat try whole milk tomorrow. "A glass of milk" is less likely to be called food thant a bowl of yogurt, but they should both be useful for staying hydrated.
The current plan is to stay up for another 45 minutes, take the cough syrup and my last pill of the day, and go to bed.

Not sure if DW shows me my own time zone on your posts? If you haven't gone to bed yet, maybe wait 20 minutes and give the cough syrup time to take hold before lying down? When I have bad congestion, I find that makes a difference.

The cough is still not good, but is I think enough better that I could get into a Lyft without worrying the driver enough that they ordered me out of the car in a couple of blocks. I have reason to think this isn't Covid --team Moderna here--but this sort of cough and sore throat can be Covid symptoms.
