Camestros Felapton noticed that Ursula K. Le Guin and Philip K. Dick were in the same high school class, and suggested that someone should write stories in which they knew each other, and "they fight crime."

(It's worth noting that Berkeley High School is huge, somewhere north of 3,000 students, so their failure to connect is not that surprising. Also, Le Guin was a child of privilege, who grew up in a house which recently sold for $4 million, whereas Dick was the son of a working-class-ish single mother. More here.)
