I got the mammogram results by mail yesterday: everything looks fine. The letter included the statement that 10% of breast cancers cannot be detected by mammogram, and I should "continue" having annual breast exams from my doctor. Right on cue, this morning someone called from my doctor's office, to make an appointment for same. So that'll be next week. I anticipate another episode of having a perfectly nice woman examining my breasts, possibly using her hands this time, and my being basically bored by the whole thing. And I get to pay for the privilege (there's a $15 "copay" per office visit, though the mammogram was entirely on HIP).

My part of NYC got our power back a little after 8 a.m. local time this morning. I'm doing well except not well-rested, because it was hard to sleep without even a breeze. Radio just said about 64% of the city is currently on-line.
