I just shoveled the sidewalk, and a path down the driveway to the back stairs. I was shoveling a mix of ice and slush, rather than snow. We didn't get anything like the foot of snow that was in some of the forecasts--it looks as though Route 128 really was the line between heavy snow and only a few inches.
That's not walking, but it is cardio exercise, and I am noting it down as such.

The reason I'm sort of keeping track of walking distance is because of ongoing hip and knee problems. On bad days, walking hurts, but the doctor and physical therapist said that, in addition to stretches and PT exercises, I should walk some to maintain/regain the ability to do so. I doubt I'll ever be walking several miles at once for the fun of it, but it matters to be able to do at least a few blocks comfortably.
