Comics-Loki might argue that the supposed blasphemy is closer to the truth than either the priest or the storyteller is comfortable with, and that he's fine with that. He just wants to be a better incarnated story.

When Oldest asked me what a god was, I told her "A god is a story that's alive."

We then got into a conversation about whether or not Captain America - who I was setting up a shrine for at the time - was a god or not.
