As of this evening, [personal profile] cattitude and I had done everything we absolutely have to have done before the move, except things that can't be done until the last minute, like washing tomorrow's breakfast dishes, and putting all our prescription medicine into a backpack I will be carrying, rather than sending it in the moving truck.

I made a short to do list last night, containing only things that needed to be done before we go to bed tonight. The list wasn't to remind me of those tasks, it was to look at and say "later" about tasks that weren't listed. I also listed a few things as "if there's still time. and there was.

So:

* I finished and returned the copyedit I was working on, along with an invoice.

* We decided where to put the furniture we're moving, and even talked a little about the stuff in the storage unit, and few things we want, or might want, to buy for the new apartment. Definitely a microwave, now that we'll have room for it; the maybes include a kitchen table, and finally replacing my desk chair. "Finally" because I've meant to do this since before we moved to Washington (which was six years ago).

* We retaped some boxes we had opened and not unpacked after the previous move. In the course of that, we added some stuff to one box, and got rid of the contents of one box, and a few empty boxes that the cats liked to sit on, or in, or play with.

* I emailed the person we hope will clean the Somerville apartment, saying yes we want to hire them and suggesting a time.

* I even put in a grocery delivery order, via Instacart, to arrive Wednesday, a mix of staples (lemon juice, chick peas, coconut milk, pasta...), household supplies (including paper towels), and a pint of vanilla ice cream. There's a convenience store at the bus stop, and we'll probably go there Tuesday for yogurt (my breakfast) and cold cuts ([personal profile] cattitude's).

I even had time for some exercise; I prioritized the exercises that need the elastics or free weights, which will be unavailable once the movers arrive tomorrow morning to pack our stuff.
