Last summer, the morning after walking over four miles in the heat while apartment-hunting. The problem was low blood pressure because of hyponatremia. My doctor told me that for that level of exercise in the future, I should be drinking something like Gatorade or vitamin water, not (or not only) plain water (my usual preference).
Given how much I like water, I might do better to buy salted potato chips, pretzels, or a similar snack during or after the exercise. On the other hand, not walking four miles on a sunny day when the temperature is over 90 Fahrenheit would also help.
