I was phone banking on two ballot questions—yes on 3 here, to keep trans rights, and Yes on 4 in Florida to restore 1.4 million people's voting rights, and we won on both. I pushed myself physically to make some of those calls; today I will be resting, and hope it's enough.

I am pleased with my new Congresswoman, but she was unopposed in the general election; the Associated Press called that race at 8:01 p.m., or one minute after Massachusetts polls closed.

And now I can stop answering calls from lots of unknown numbers that might be people calling me about volunteer shifts.

Thanks so much for your work on both of these. (Especially 3 up here. So very glad it passed, and with a very healthy majority.)

Yes! I'm so glad they've passed, and I hope you can get the time to rest now.

Good work. I thought of you when I saw that trans rights had won.

Enjoy your well deserved rest.

I thought of you also, Redbird. Very good news on both of those issues.

For the first time ever, I volunteered as a Democratic Party poll watcher. El Paso County, where I live, is a deeply conservative area, but the fact that Colorado is trending blue makes me feel that even EPC has a chance. Anyway, the place I was a watcher was pretty diverse, the staff was competent and bent over backward to make sure that everyone voted (Colorado has extremely progressive voter ID laws), but it was brutal. I was there from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm. The polls closed at 7:00 pm but there were 27 people in line. The DP asked that we stay until the last person voted. I was amazed that people were willing to stand in line for an hour to vote on a brisk Colorado evening. (Voting times were a lot more reasonable early in the day.)

Thank you for volunteering. That's a very long day.

I bubbled in Ayanna anyway, because it made me happy, and because you never know when people will play silly buggers with write-ins.

I'm so happy about #yeson3. And Scott Walker lost. And Maxine Waters is the new finance chair, so we'll see some tax returns wooooo!

Beto lost, but he came very, very close. Much closer than I expected him to. I hope he runs for governor in 2020.
