I am tempted to make this my default icon, even if it's less obviously me than either the coelacanth (which looks nothing like me, but I've been using for years) or the photo of me in
papersky's kitchen.
There probably isn't room in the icon space for something that is both clearly me and suitably political. "Suitable" in this context means something explicitly anti-fascist, anti-racist, feminist, and/or anti-Trump.

I have no idea how 'you' that is, but it seems to be very much a symbol of the resistance. And at least no-one can claim the march pictures were from the inauguration, because so many pink hats are Suspicious.

Also, given the long history of certain groups being pushed to the back of the line while lip service is given to inclusion, I want to explicitly say that Black lives matter. Trans* people matter. Bisexuals really exist, we're not just a letter in "LGBT" to be ignored while making sure there's room in the white middle class for lesbians and gay men.
My intersectional feminism says that we're not going to destroy the kyriarchy while maintaining neoliberalism—but it also says that there's value in defending abortion rights, and keeping the public schools functioning, and a lot of other things that can survive and even thrive under post-industrial capitalism. (Damn, I think I need to spend some time on studying economics, and I don't have the time right now, we're too busy piling up sandbags, while trying to still do some of the paid work, and take care of myself and my beloveds, and so on.)
I suspect this is going to wind up with a large collection of pins to put on my dayback and my coat.
