I do not like the LJ "repost this" button, and will not be adding it to my posts. Feel free to point/link to any public post, of course: but I'd like people to come over here, and maybe even leave comments, if I say something that interesting.

("That reminds me" because someone I know posted about it earlier; that post was friends-only so I'm not identifying them.)

And this one isn't a crosspost from DW.

Oh, it's a thing now? I've seen a couple of examples, but didn't investigate. I'd like it better if it included a cut-tag. (grumpy TxA is grumpy.)

I haven't tried it but I don't see why you couldn't put a cut-tag around the repost tag or vice-versa.

In pretty much exactly the same form as cut-tags, you can use the repost tag to mark just part of your post as "repostable". This means you can put the bit of a meme (say) that describes the topic in "repost" and your answers to the meme outside.

I've no plans to use it myself :-) ... just about everything I post is friends-only/flocked for a reason!
