I just had my (seasonal) flu shot, courtesy of my employer (free and conveniently right here at work). No work on whether they're going to try to get us the H1N1 shot as well. Not being in any of the high-risk or priority groups, I won't be pushing for that one for a while.

I appreciate employers who offer things like flu shots free or at reduced cost. My university does charge, but the proceeds generally go to a local food bank or something similar.

As it happens, I got my flu shot at the doctor since I had an appointment anyway. I'm not in a high-risk group and so won't try for the H1N1 nasal mist, but when the injectable comes to town, I'll get one of those on the grounds that Dale and I both work with the public and are likely to be exposed.

If I get my flu shot when I already have an appointment with co-pay, I don't have to pay the co-pay for the shot ($10 each), which is what I did. I'm not eligible age- or health-wise for the mist, so I'll have to wait until we get the injection version in. It'd be nice if it was here by the 26th because I see another doctor then.

I'm kind of wondering how to get one if supplies are moderately scarce-- I am in fact a high-risk person, potentially dangerous to my old people, but pastors aren't on the list.
