This feels a bit like rehab, in a low-key way (still recovering from the fall of a few weels ago). I didn't actually look forward to exercising, but I hadn't been in a week, and won't have a chance at my proper gym again until next week since I'm going to Wiscon (the hotel has some minimal workout equipment near the pool).


Cardio, 10 minutes plus 30 seconds cooldown, top heart rate 142
Leg press, 280 pounds, 2 sets of 15; 260 pound, 15
Chest press, 45 pounds, 2 sets of 10
Calf raise, 70 pounds, 3 sets of 15
Wrist curls, 25 pounds, 10 (might have managed more if the usual handle had been available)
Balance lateral raise, 2.5 pounds one hand, 5 pounds the other, 15 (I thought I had a 2.5-pound weight and a 3-pound
one until after I did that set); 5 pounds each hand, 10
Balance squats, 15
Biceps curls, 7.5 pounds each hand, 2 sets of 20

Crunches, 3 sets of 30
Back arches, 3 sets of 17
Tree, 5 sets of {3 on each leg}
Glute, 50 pounds, 10 with the left leg; when I went to try pushing with the right leg, my left knee reminded me that it's still
tender and not a weight-bearing surface, so I didn't.
Stretches


Walking down Eighth Avenue after exercising, I was in a good mood, and remembered "right, I didn't expect to enjoy that," but I did, once I got there and got started.
