redbird: The words "congnitive hazard" with one of those drawings of an object that can't work in three dimensions (brain broken)

Do fairy godmothers get paid, and if so, is it a salaried position, or piecework?

I think it would depend on your grade of fairy godmother. I mean, if you have a part-time worker of small blessings for a person whose life is basically reasonable, then it would be piecework, probably for several clients. But if you are the Sole Bulwark Of Defense for someone who has a seriously nasty family curse and/or a bad fairy around all the time, it's probably single-client, salaried, and, one hopes, with hazard pay and benefits. Of course, you need years of experience to get that kind of position.
