It's being very spring-ish here right now. Lilacs and violets are happily in bloom, as are the paulownia trees growing out of the wall (and probably the ones elsewhere in the park). An egret seems to be nesting in the usual tree next to the inlet in the park, and we saw a cormorant this morning. (Also one small wading bird, flitting among the rocks on the shore, because high tide is too deep for the little birds to wade.) Also lily of the valley, but between the damp ground and the ways I'm still sore from Monday's fall, I did not lean down to sniff them.

On the way home this evening, I saw a rose in bloom, low to the ground on a small, young rosebush (in the little garden at Isham and Seaman). That, like the paulownia, feels early; the lilacs and lily of the valley are more or less on schedule. So are the egrets.

Swallows this evening as well, and I have no idea if they are early, late, or right on time.

Other than that, I am still quite wiped, and not sure seeing Astropia last night was a good idea, though it was fun. (Capsule review: fun movie, very fannish/gamer sensibility, operating on several levels of reality, in Icelandic with English subtitles, this outing was Lise's idea but handy to my office.) I got my boss's okay to work from home tomorrow, which will save me a couple of hours of commuting, and the wear and tear involved in crowds, etc., right now.
