The hotel's exercise room was small, and emphasized cardio equipment, which I wasn't in the mood for on Friday. They had one of those several-in-one exercise machines hotels like to buy, which do several things badly. I did a set and a half of more-or-less bench presses, but the equipment was odd and I wound up with it set at 20 (I assume pounds) instead of my usual 50 or so. Three sets of lat pulldowns at 50 pounds, which is fine. There was a tolerable mat, so I did my standard four sets of 20 crunches and three sets of 15 back arches. Then I did bicep curls, one hand at a time, using a 15-pound weight. Three sets of 15 on each side. Lateral raises, 5 pounds each hand, 2 sets of 15. (All this is from memory, and numbers may be inaccurate.)

Yesterday afternoon, at the end of the con but before the dead dog had started, I was sitting on the floor talking to a few friends, and wound up lying on my back. And then I did about 30 crunches, just because. Which is weird, if good.

whooosh

That's the sound of us missing each other at Wiscon.

I did want to say, though, that you are certainly moving with power and purpose these days. All that work is definitely paying off.
