Back from Montreal last night, at the gym this evening. I got there earlier than expected, since I needed to leave work at 5 so they could put in bookshelves. Fine with me: I'll leave early for bookshelves, even when paid by the hour. I suspect the serious gym crowding will be next week, as New Year's resolutions click in and people are back from vacation. (Besides, it was cold today.)

Stretches

While I was doing my rowing exercise, the PA was playing the Eagles' "Hotel California," and the line "We haven't had that spirit here since 1969" led me to a startling thought: if you can remember the moon landings, you're old enough to be president of the United States. No new information there, but a startling angle on passing time.
