Where (a tiny bit of) my money goes

Researchers looking at both behavior in the wild and genetics have proposed that there are actually six distinct species of giraffe. The different populations are currently classed as sub-species, and this gets back to the question of defining species--and that can feel like nailing Jello to a wall. This is "where my money goes" because cattitude and I are members of the organization that sponsored the work.
