I have completed the current freelance proofreading project; it will be going out by FedEx later today.

Someone on craigslist is looking for an editor for his dissertation. This one looks legit--as in, he wants someone to edit his grammar, and point out logical holes, not to write it for him--and he's offering reasonable rates. I've sent a cover letter emphasizing my experience with non-native speakers, since he identifies himself as such, and a resume. We shall see.

Dang - guess I'll have to start poking around the various craigslists. If you change your mind about being interested in the gig, I'd love to give it a shot. I don't have the professional ediatrix experience you have but I've been the informally-official editor of my peers' academic work for years, including several PhD qualifying exams.

Now I will take a moment to meditate on the horror that is the thought of starting my own dissertation. Ommm.
