Mom called this evening, noting that I hadn't posted in a few days. I explained that I'd been visiting
adrian_turtle over the weekend, and we then exchanged our recent news (in my case, including some news from Adrian and
cattitude).
I didn't bother posting from Arlington because we basically had a quiet few days: lots of conversation, ice cream at Toscanini's and a stop at Pandemonium for books, a couple of hours with an old friend of Adrian's whom I'd not previously met.
I headed out around lunchtime today, despite the cold, for food (at a local coffee shop) and exercise. I didn't do quite as much as usual, because I don't have as much energy in early afternoon as in mid-morning. I did try something new (using the balance dome the trickier way, with the round side down) and fell flat on my ass. A nearby trainer told me I'd landed gracefully, which seemed to be overstating the case, but I did land on muscle rather than hurting any joints. I got up, let the person whose exercise had given me the idea help me onto the thing (holding his hands out for me to balance with), hopped off again, and went back to the exercise I'd been doing.
On the way there I saw a billboard for a vitamin water. The marketers are linking it to Special K cereal. The brand name is K2O, which is not a chemical I would want to eat.
