(when I'm not dealing with a trackball that I can't make work left-handed, and am back at my own screen and such.)
The Jardin Botanique is excellent--the "Butterflies are Free" temporary exhibit is in an excellent space. Multiple levels, morpho waterfall, huge moths. Greenhouses full of flowering cacti on the way in, this week.
Elsewhere, many small early spring flowers, including lots we couldn't identify. Tiny red flowers at ground level among the rocks. Spring heather. Many chionodoxa. Dwarf iris, the first I'd seen this year.
Not being Welsh, I can reliably tell a daffodil from a leek.
Suite 88's intense hot chocolate is that. Not a religious experience, a drug experience, a cheerful laughing high.
papersky,
rysmiel, and
zorinth were patient with me. Extra points for not dyeing the inside of the raspberry truffle pink.
By local standards, my purple highlights are low-key.
I saw an actual beaver in the wild, from the train, somewhere south of Lake Champlain. Wild turkey on a tree branch.
Good baguettes are an excellent thing.
A cold salt water soak doesn't seem to have made any difference (good or bad) to the sore heel.
