tea

My stomach was slightly upset earlier, nothing major but the sort of thing that calls for a soothing cup of ti kwan yin, not the strong Indian teas I normally drink.

Fortunately, I have a selection of teas [livejournal.com profile] papersky gave me when I visited her last New Year's, which includes a superior ti kwan yin. It's nice having friends who get me things I didn't realize I needed. Thank you again.

I just thought the tins were very pretty, and one can never have too many kinds of tea for visitors. Glad to be able to help. I hope your stomach gets well soon.

I've just had a cup of my Irish breakfast, to wake me up -- I'm sleeping really badly at the moment and then feeling dopey in the daytime. You'd really like it. It's just exactly what a really good Assam ought to be, with a properly complex unfolding flavour.

Hmmm. Out of Irish Breakfast, must get more. What's the brand of the one you're using? Or did it come from Ireland? My last tin did actuall, bought at Bewley's, but it's all gone.

Taylors of Harrogate, Irish Breakfast tea imported from England and bought in Montreal...

I also have a choice of a loose tea Irish Breakfast imported from France -- as neither England nor France are big tea growing regions, I suspect tea moves around the world a lot, possibly even in clippers.
