I've spotted daffodils in bloom in Inwood, and [livejournal.com profile] cattitude found chionodoxa (small blue, purple, and/or white star-shaped flowers) and periwinkles. Also some tiny pale-piurple flowers that I don't have a name for and can't find in the Audubon Society wildflower guide; I may talk Cattitude into taking a picture so we can all be puzzled together.

An egret was in the salt marsh this morning, the killifish have returned from wherever they return from, and the robins are singing about trees.

It is definitely Spring, and even warm and sunny to go with it.

We have no flowers for celebration of spring, yet, and there is snow in tomorrow's forecast, but one of our first signs of the season occurred this evening: the annual storm spotter training class.

I've also got the wildflower guide; if you post a picture, I'll take a look too.
