We didn't eat far too much, because life caught up with people enough that
roadnotes didn't provide ham and duck in addition to turkey, and
cattitude and I forgot to bring the cider. But there were cheese and crackers and such to nibble while the bird cooked; there was turkey and stuffing and potatoes with onions and peas, and
adrian_turtle's green beans and red bell pepper, and my chocolate mousse (well, Amy Thomson's recipe, but I made it), and Helen (Roadnotes's sister WINOLJ) brought pie. And we talked, serious and silly.
As I told Adrian beforehand, she has now met my mother and had Thanksgiving dinner with us, Velma, and
baldanders--she's stuck with me. (She met both Andy and Q well before that.) Velma and family liked her, not a surprise but a Good Thing.
