cattitude about 9 last night, and the fireflies were out in large numbers. Instead of just being right next to the river (there's a stone wall, then a little patch of random wooded stuff next to the river), they were all over the lawn in the park as well. We saw one firefly that seemed to lack an off switch: instead of the usual quick flash, it would light up brightly, then sort of taper down to darkness, and repeat after a moment.
