and yes, 39 is plenty young enough for a change of careers, if you were so inclined. i don't know what you "should" do, but brainstorming about what you might like to do might not hurt.

39 is young enough for a change in direction. I think I was 39 when I switched over to full time at ACM.

Hmm. I know that doesn't sound good, given the fate of that job, but I did learn stuff which I am able to use, even now (on 3rd shift ghodshelpme ... )

And it means I'm not in the rag trade.

I don't think you'd want to be a yakherd. Yak locales are cold!
